ASK-IT
The ASK-IT project aims to support and promote the free movement and independence of people with special needs, with a primary focus on providing travel information. Information can be accessed through a combination of telecommunications services and other information and communication technologies.

Cost 219ter
The Cost 219ter project aims to increase the accessibility of
next generation telecommunication network services and equipment to elderly
people and people with disabilities by design or, alternatively, by adaptation
when required.

Happy Tourist
The Happy Tourist project aims to offer equal opportunities to people with disabilities, either as tourists or staff, based upon the combination of innovative, modular and cost-effective information and communication technology tools, e-learning concepts and on-the-job-training schemes.

Medi-Voice
The Medi-Voice project aims to take current state-of-the-art compliance monitoring, enhance and combine it with speech technology and incorporate them into pharmaceutical blister packaging through novel manufacturing techniques. These technologies will aim to overcome the problems associated with non-compliance and missed-dosage, specifically through the incorporation of spoken instructions.

PhoneAbility
PhoneAbility is the independent UK focal point for telecommunications and the needs of disabled and elderly people. The group acts as a catalyst in this area by organising conferences and seminars on telecommunications and disability. It also acts as the UK reference group to the European project COST 219ter.

SNAPI
The SNAPI project was established to: Promote standardisation of coding on smart
media for personalisation of terminals, develop products from the extended EN1332-4
Standard and act as a centre of excellence, in conjunction with the RNIB Tiresias
website, for improving accessibility to and infrastructure by suppliers
and for users of smart
media.
