Activities: The council's activities, on behalf of its members,
are divided into five broad areas: Prevention of blindness; Education
of blind and visually impaired children and adults; Rehabilitation services;
Institution building; Income generating and fundraising activities. The
council organises a wide range of programmes including the Caribbean Braille
and large print service and the production of the Plus Curriculum which
was introduced to provide teacher trainers with information and materials
for the teaching of blind and visually impaired children.
