Activities: The Mitra Netra Foundation was established in 1991 on the initiative of university graduates who were visually impaired. The Foundation provides assistive devises and a variety of rehabilitation services. MNF is a member of the Daisy Consortium, which utilizes Digital Accessible Information systems used in making books accessible to the visually impaired.

Activities: HKI's Opportunities for Vulnerable Children (OVC) program implements a school-based Primary Eye Care program, since up to 25% of adolescent students need eyeglasses. In partnership with schools and Indonesian Refractionist Association, HKI provides screening, refraction and eyeglasses within the school environment while providing referrals, follow-up, and surgery through the Jakarta Eye Center.

Activities:
The residential school provides accommodation for 90 students. The school programme (kindergarten, elementary and junior high school) includes standard academic subjects plus mobility and orientation, low vision training, the use of modern electronic technology in communication training and vocational training. The older students are integrated into local High Schools. A Vocational Training School is in operation for young V.I. adults.
