Activities: Provides traditional and nontraditional programs and educational experiences for children ages 3-21 who are blind and partially sighted as residential or day students. Academic and vocational training are a priority at ASB and extracurricular activities include band, chorus, music, art, honor clubs, state and national championship wrestling, cheerleading and track. Training in mobility, independent living and assistive technology build self confidence and are enhanced by an environment where books and materials are available in Braille and large print and teachers are specially trained to work with students with vision loss.

Activities: Gentry provides personal and work adjustment services, evaluation and training on assistive equipment, career exploration and job coaching and development. Blind Services also provide training in orientation and mobility, braille literacy and independent living skills for clients who are blind or partially sighted. The Business Enterprise Program of the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services is also located at the Gentry campus.

Activities: Serving children, ages 3 to 21, HKS provides individualized quality education, service and care which focuses on the abilities and potential of each student. HKS takes an holistic approach to working with children with special needs involving staff and parents in the design of an education plan that may include language, math, Braille, music, art and other academics, in addition to independent living skills and physical therapy. A creative arts program is designed to stimulate students through visual and tactile activities, motor development and expansion of expressive and receptive language. Students also have the opportunity to participate in Music Therapy and are trained in assistive technology. The HKS program is recognized nationally as a training center for teachers of multidisabled deaf and blind students.
