Talking Kitchen Scale Mk 5

Available with English, French, German, Spanish, Swedish, Norwegian, Italian or Finnish with very high speech quality. Weighs up to five kilos or eleven pounds in five gram or half ounce steps. Accurate to within two percent the scale has a large secure bowl and non slip feet. Very easy to use with a smooth surface for easy cleaning. The English speaking version weighs in imperial and metric units and can convert weights between them. Touching the bowl causes the weight to be repeated. Adjustable volume and tare functions. High and low tones sound every five grammes or half an ounce when weights are adjusted slowly to help with precise measurements. Can be powered by one PP3 9V battery (not supplied) or the optional mains adaptor.

Talking Timer

English speech. A combined count up and count down timer as well as a talking clock. Maximum count time is twenty four hours. There is no spoken output when counting up but on count down the remaining time is spoken every hour until the last hour, every ten minutes until the last ten minutes, every minute until the last minute, every ten seconds until the last ten seconds then every second. Counting can be paused and the timer has a useful auto repeat function. Please note that the remaining time is only spoken at the defined intervals. Powered by two LR44 batteries (supplied).

This versatile device has independent timers adjustable individually for every day of the week, a thermostat and a frostat. Any of these can be used separately or in combination to control a mains operated appliance up to a maximum rating of two kilowatts. i.e. electric heaters, tape recorders, radios, lights, electric blankets etc. The Timestat is very simple to set and use. When plugged into a standard wall socket it charges its built in battery and will remember its settings for several months when disconnected or in the event of a mains power failure. Also functions as a talking clock and thermometer. No batteries are required.

Audible Spirit Level

Designed to enable the user to check that surfaces are either horizontal or vertical. It can be used as either a conventional spirit level, with green and red LED lamps only or with lamps and audible tones to indicate when the device is level. A high tone is produced if the left side is high, a low tone if the right side is high and no tone when the unit is level. A ruler can be pivoted to any angle and locked in place. When set to 90 degrees this enables the device to be used to check vertical surfaces. The bottom of the case has a 'V' shaped channel to locate it on curved edges such as pipes. Talking Measuring Jug

This jug has a male voice. It measures in imperial - pints and fluid ounces, metric - litres and millilitres and U.S. - pints and fluid ounces and can convert its readings between any of these. The user selects the type of liquid to be measured, either water, milk, oil based or user defined. Liquid can be added either with the jug on a worktop or held in the hand. The contents of the jug are spoken at the press of a button or automatically as a liquid is added. A Tare function enables the reading to be set to zero once a measurement has been taken, without emptying the container, to allow a measured volume of a second liquid to be added. The user defined function allows the jug to be calibrated for any liquid, or indeed any solid if your recipe calls for a litre of sugar for instance! The container is removable for easy cleaning and can hold up to 2 litres of liquid. Speech volume is adjustable. Powered by 1 x PP3 9v alkaline battery.
