IntelliTactiles Overlay Companions

The IntelliKeys keyboard from IntelliTools is a touch sensitive board that connects to either a PC or Macintosh computer. The board provides auditory feedback related to overlays placed on its touch-sensitive surface. (Note: The IntelliKeys keyboard, related software, and standard visual overlays are available exclusively from IntelliTools: www.intellitools.com). IntelliTactiles Overlay Companions, developed by the American Printing House for the Blind, make the IntelliTools Standard Overlays accessible to Braille readers. These durable clear-plastic tactile overlays slip under the ledges of the IntelliKeys keyboard on top of the visual overlays. The tactile overlays feature Braille markings and special tactile point symbols. The tactile overlays align with the following IntelliTools visual overlays: Alphabet Overlay; Basic Writing Overlay; Numbers Overlay; Arrows Overlay; Apple QWERTY Overlay; IBM QWERTY Overlay; Setup Overlay. User's Guides in large print and Braille are included with the Standard Overlay Companions.

Overlay Maker 3
Overlay Maker is a keytop overlay creator designed for use with IntelliKeys. This software program enables users to create their own customized overlay keyboard by drawing the overlay on the screen and designing key size, location, colors and pictures. Keys can be created in any shape or location with letters, phrases, pictures, mouse movements, mouse clicks or special IntelliTool settings. Once the overlay is completed, it is printed using any color or black-and-white printer with legal-sized paper and attached to the keyboard. The overlay information is sent from the program through the cable to the IntelliKeys Keyboard, which reconfigures itself to match the custom overlay. Overlays can be saved for repeated use and they can be saved as templates, allowing them to be opened, edited, renamed and saved as a new overlay. The Overlay Maker includes the IntelliTools Picture Library of over 300 images, and it also accepts images from clip art programs, digitized photos, Boardmaker or any drawing program. System Requirements: Requires the IntelliKey keyboard.
