Checklist for the Built Environment of Public Access Terminals (PAT)

Location signs are easy to read
There is a location system for blind users
The access route to and from the PAT is clear and level
The path leading to and from the PAT is distinguishable
Entrances are easy to negotiate
There are queuing arrangements
There are adequate lighting levels
There is enough space to manoeuvre
The PAT has not been placed in a noisy environment
Security is adequate
Privacy of information on screen can be obtained
The PAT is protected from direct or reflected sunlight
