Portable CCTVs, intended for the more mobile user, are being developed all the time. In some cases, the camera unit is portable, but a standard monitor/TV screen is required to display the image, in other cases the CCTV may have it’s own small integrated viewing screen or may be connected to a laptop. Most portable video magnifiers, and many video magnifiers that use a television, have a hand-held camera similar to a computer mouse.

Eclipse
The Eclipse is a 15 inch CCTV reader that is simple to set up and use. The Eclipse has an extensive feature list that includes an auto focus camera and a push-button overview. Fusion

Slider
Select your preferred viewing mode (colour, black and white or reverse) and control the desired level of contrast and magnification (from 8.5x to 17x). You can also connect the Slider to a separate TV monitor for even larger magnification. Choose to slide the unit across your favourite magazine or newspaper with the camera in one of three positions or use the detachable camera as a handheld camera to read a medicine bottle or the bind of a book. MagniLink Reader
MLS Reader is a portable handheld camera for connection directly to a laptop or desktop computer.
The camera features high contrast positive/negative picture and artificial colours. The magnification range for a 14" monitor is 9-22,5 times.
The camera picture is presented in a Windows application and both size and position of the window can be adjusted. This allows you to work in different split screen modes and makes your system very flexible. The camera's snap shot function is very useful, just by pressing a button you can store images from the camera on your computer.
