Wheelchair Standards
Accessibility issues for people in wheelchairs can be placed under the following categories: Those relating to the disability that has confined them to a wheelchair (e.g. is there a necessity to reach buttons/controls at a certain height?); Those relating to additional disabilities; Those specifically arising from the fact that they are in a wheelchair (e.g. what are the minimum space requirements for manoeuvrability?). All of these factors should be considered when designing a system for public use.
